I don’t know about you, but I have a pretty busy life. Sometimes, things happen that I can’t predict and even though I wish my business stayed 100% on track, I’m just a one-person show.
But being just one person, there are still tool at my disposal to do the work of a team of 5! If you haven’t learned about automation yet, it’s a life saver! You can spend less time working on your business and more time doing what you love, without your business being affected by it!
What are 5 ways you can automate your website?
1) Send your blog post to your social media queue
Look into what kind of schedule you need to set up and take advantage of the free trials to figure out the best way to use those tools!
So you can be relaxing on the beach while still getting leads from social media! #lifegoals
2) Send an instant reply to people contacting you via your contact forms
You can let people know you got their message and set their expectations at the same time! You’re not behind your computer 24/7, so why not automate an email that will tell your new leads that you’ll get back to them in the next 48 hours? That way, they know where you stand!
And you can always direct them to your blog while they wait to learn more about you? (Just in case they haven’t started stalking you yet…)
3) Have a great email funnel in place to turn one-time visitors into lifetime clients
Do you have an email list yet? If you don’t, it’s time to start one! Mailing lists are one of the most important tools of entrepreneurs since they’re really the only kind of “following” you can actually own.
If Facebook decides to shut down, you’ll lose all your likes.
If Mailchimp decided to shut down, you export your emails and find another company. It’s as simple as that!
To get started, I recommend getting a Mailchimp account. You’ll need to pay to get access to the automation feature, but it’s well worth the price in my opinion!
Once you’ve done that, set up a few forms in strategic places on your website (like your homepage, sidebar, and footer) and offer a great incentive to those who sign up!
After they’ve given you their email address, they’ll be automatically added to your funnel and can be introduced to you, your services and all the amazing stuff you do!
4) Bulk-schedule your Pinterest pins in less than 10 minutes!
If Pinterest is a big part of your social media strategy (or your SEO strategy, because let’s be honest, Pinterest is totally a search engine) then you’ll want to use a tool like BoardBooster to help you bring the traffic to your website without having to spend hours scheduling pins!
5) Schedule calls & appointments in seconds
Hate the back and forth that comes with trying to schedule a call? Instead of getting people to email you and guessing when they’re available, set up your calendar in Calendly and send them the link!
Better yet, add a link to your Calendly to your website so people who want your free call can contact you without even having to email you first!
As you might have noticed, automating your business is not cheap. It comes with a certain price tag, but is absolutely worth it if you want to scale your business. After all, you can’t do all this stuff on your own!
You need to delegate certain tasks, whether it’s to a VA or a software…
